Kinder Joy Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach 2016

Jointly organised by Discovery Bay and Kodomo Communications, the one-of-a-kind event in town – Kinder Joy Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach 2016will be back in March, bringing springtime fun to families and kids in this Easter! 
 
On 25 and 26 March 2016, kids aged between 3 and 10 are welcome to hunt colourful Easter eggs hidden in the sand of Tai Pak Beach and win over 30,000 fabulous prizes. Adding fun to the game will be the open-air Fun Fairs at DB Plaza and DB North Plaza. Visit Discovery Bay and fill your Easter holiday with laughter and nice surprises for your kids!
 
A. Children Aged 3 to 10 to Hunt for Colourful Easter Eggs and Win 30,000 Fabulous Prizes
The two-day Easter Egg Hunt will welcome children, who will be divided into different groups (aged 3-4, 5-6 and 7-10) to participate. Participants will be entitled to redeem an Egg Redemption Prize for every egg hunted. Those who uncover the Grand Eggs (Golden, Blue, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Green and White) hidden among other small eggs will be awarded special prizes worth up to HK$2,000! All participants will also receive a Welcome Goodies Bag and a Certificate of Excellence.
 
Sustainable living has been widely promoted in Discovery Bay, the eco-friendly town. As a green measure, biodegradable Easter eggs which are made from natural materials will be buried in the sand and the eggs will be reused in the future. 
 
B. How to Become an Easter Egg Hunter
Discovery Bay welcomes kids to participate in the game. There are three viable ways to register as an egg hunter this year: 
1. Reserve “Easter Fun Package”1 at Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong to receive an admission ticket.
2. During 22 to 28 February, enter the online puzzle game on “Visit Discovery Bay” Facebook Fan Page, and the first ten participants who complete the puzzle on each day will be awarded an admission ticket2. A total of 70 free tickets will be given away.
3. Admission ticket valued at HK$200 each will be available for sale through Cityline from 1 March on a first come first served basis. Administration fee will be charged by Cityline separately.

C. Fun-filled Carnivals at DB Plaza and DB North Plaza
Want to bring more amusement and excitement to your kids? Over in DB Plaza and DB North Plaza, open-air Fun Fairs featuring a series of interactive inflatable games and carnival game booths will be held for kids aged from 3 to 10. 
 
1. DB Plaza Fun Fair
Date:      25-26 March 2016 (Friday - Saturday)
Time:     10:30am – 6:30pm 
Venue:   DB Plaza
Games:  5 inflatable games plus interactive carnival games 
Fee: Free of charge and only available for egg hunters
  
2. DB North Plaza Easter Funland
Date: 25-28 March 2016 (Friday - Monday)
Time: 12noon – 6:30pm 
Venue: DB North Plaza
Games: 5 inflatable games and interactive carnival games, balloon twisting and face painting
Fee: One ticket per game. Each ticket is valued at HK$30, and is available for sale at DB North Plaza Service Counter
 
a) Each Egg Hunter will receive three game tickets for DB North Plaza Easter Funland upon admission at DB Plaza.
b) Upon reservation of Easter Fun Package at Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong, 5 game tickets will be given away.
 
D. Transportation Tips
1. Free Ferry Ride 
Free ferry ride from Central to Discovery Bay will be offered to children aged 12 and under who travel between 10:00am and 3:30pm on 25 and 26 March 2016 (single journey from Central to Discovery Bay only, and the journey time is around 25 minutes).
 
What’s more, simply present HK$120 original receipt from any of the 13 designated restaurants3 at D’Deck, and present your on-day transaction receipt at the D’Deck Free Ferry Service Counter for a free ferry ride to Central on the same day. Your journey to Discovery Bay will be perfectly concluded.
 
2. Free Express Shuttle Bus and Bus Interchange Discount at DB North Plaza 
DB North Plaza specially offers Free Express Shuttle Bus5 from DB Bus Terminus to DB North Plaza and Bus Interchange Discount6 for commuters departing from DB North Plaza to Sunny Bay, DB Bus Terminus or Discovery Bay Pier.
 
E. About Discovery Bay, Hong Kong

The provision of the Free Express Shuttle Buses plying between DB North Plaza and DB Plaza near the Discovery Bay Piergives commuters more flexibility and convenience.  Moreover, urban and Lantau taxis can now reach Yi Pak (DB North) area to pick up and drop off passengers at designated points.

4 The D’Deck “Dine ’N Ride” complimentary ferry ride is valid for dinner consumption (6pm -11:45pm) from Monday to Friday, and lunch/dinner consumption (12 noon – 11:45pm) on Saturday/Sunday/public holiday. The free ferry ride is only valid on the same day of the transaction. The receipt is validated during: 7:30pm-12:00am (Monday-Friday) and 1:00pm-12:00am (Saturday/Sunday/public holiday). 5 Free Express Shuttle Bus is available every half hour at 00 minutes and 30 minutes (from 11am to 10pm) from DB Bus Terminus to DB North Plaza, and 15 minutes and 45 minutes (from 11:15am to 10:15pm) from DB North Plaza to DB Bus Terminus, with a journey time of around 8 minutes.
 
6 Visitors can enjoy Bus Interchange Discount at DB North Plaza. Simply tap an Octopus Card against the Fare Save Station next to Wellcome Supermarket and use the same Octopus Card to travel on any buses leaving DB North Plaza within 45 minutes to enjoy a HK$4 discount for the bus ride.
