The Lantau Yacht Club Boat Show “Festa Nautica 2025” on 17-19 October was a roaring success, attracting a record attendance of nearly 1,300 visitors.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Mr. Victor Cha, Chairman of the Group; Mr. Jackie Tang, Managing Director of the Group; Mr. Franklin Mak, Executive Vice President of Hospitality of the Group. They were joined by Dr. Peter Lam, Chairman of Hong Kong Tourism Board, Mr. David Lee, Director & Head of HK Property of CITIC Pacific Properties, and various yachting industry leaders to kick off this three-day celebration of maritime culture. The event also attracted a number of television stations and newspapers interviewing the Group’s management and the industry, local influencers and those from the Greater Bay Area also featured the event and showed their support.
The exhibition floor was energised with a steady stream of visitors and productive discussions. This year’s event featured a record 30 yachts from renowned China and international brands including Absolute, Aquila, Axopar, Azimut, BENETEAU, Dufour, Ferretti, Fountaine Pajot, Four Winns, Gilles Vaton, IAG, INFYNITO, Jeanneau, Lagoon, Parker, Prestige, Oceania, Osea, Saxdor, Selene, Sunseeker, Wally, and Yanmar on display. Notably, superyachts were represented by Burgess and Camper & Nicholsons, along with the internationally acclaimed Damen Yachting. It was also the first time that a Chinese Mainland exhibitor, the Zhuhai Jinwan Yacht Industry Development Association, participated and showcased its comprehensive industry chains and efficient cross-border service model.
Meanwhile, Grandtech International Engineering and Express Marine Electronics displayed their marine engineering and electronics products. DCH Marina offered shuttle service between Discovery Bay Pier and the Club, alongside hands-on sea trial experiences organised by MSA with COX engines for potential buyers.
Beyond the docks, onshore activities were equally vibrant. Luxury displays of Jacob & Co. timepieces and a Rolls-Royce motor car set a glamorous atmosphere, complemented by exquisite culinary delights from Caffè Napoli, Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong, Discovery Bay Golf Club and Peony Chinese Restaurant. Interactive zones, including the relaxed Migratory cigar lounge, high-fidelity KEF sound experience, engagements with Asia Aces Pickleball Academy, Discovery Bay Golf Club putting games, Genius Skate's outdoor ice rink and DJI drone trials, kept guests engaged.
The goal of “Festa Nautica 2025” is to contribute to the development of Hong Kong's yacht industry and establish an international yacht show for Hong Kong that ranks among the world's top yacht shows, such as those in Monaco and Singapore. This year’s yacht show has grown into a significant event, and we continue working with industry professionals to drive the growth of Hong Kong's yacht industry.
Festa Nautica Highlight: “Seminar on Cross-Border Integration and Industry Upgrade”
A key highlight of the event was a seminar titled "The Infinite Possibilities of the Yacht Economy: Seminar on Cross-Border Integration and Industry Upgrade”. The Group’s Executive Vice President of Hospitality Mr. Franklin Mak along with over ten Greater Bay Area yacht industry representatives, including Mr. Benjamin Wong, Head of Transport & Logistics and Industrials, InvestHK; Mr. Lawrence Chow, Chairman of Hong Kong Boating Industry Association; and Mr. Howard Chen, Chairman of Zhuhai Jinwan Yacht Industry Development Association, explored development and collaboration opportunities. The seminar emphasised supporting government's Policy Address by championing industrial upgrade through the "yacht + tourism" initiative.
