Empowering Youth for Climate Action: The Group Supports COP 30

HKR International fully supported “The UN Climate Change Conference COP 30 Secondary School Student Ambassadors Training Programme” organised by The Conservancy Association. The programme engaged secondary students with a keen interest in climate-related issues, guiding them through an in-depth exploration of the key themes addressed at the UN Climate Change Conference. As part of their learning journey, students also gained valuable insights into the biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest and its irreplaceable ecological value.

The programme has conducted ten outreach and recruitment sessions, reaching over 900 teachers and students from ten schools.

As part of the programme learning initiative, over 30 selected student ambassadors joined an ecological field trip to Discovery Bay in mid-October and visited Hong Kong’s first urban oasis "DBee Oasis” in Central Park. The blossom tower is not only a scenic landmark, but also an essential resting and replenishment spot for pollinating insects in metropolitan environments.
