HKRI Care & Share Volunteers Pay Visit to Singleton Elders

HKRI Care & Share, HKR International Limited’s (“HKRI”) corporate volunteer team, joined a singleton elder home visit activity organised by Senior Citizen Home Safety Association (“SCHSA”) on 26 November 2016 (Saturday) with 330 volunteers from other organisations to visit around 300 singleton elders in Chai Wan.

The elders are users of SCHSA’s service Personal Emergency Link (“PE Link”). During the visits, the volunteers chatted with the elders and encouraged them to make good use of the PE Link service. The volunteers also brought along goodie bags filled with food and daily necessities for the elderly, 100 of which were sponsored by HKRI Care & Share. Everyone had a great time sharing laughter and happy moments.

Founded in 1996, SCHSA is a self-financing social enterprise and charitable organisation in Hong Kong which offers 24-hour personal caring and emergency assistance services to elderly and others in need through their core service, PE Link, with the mission to enhance the living quality of the elderly in the community through the use of technology and people-oriented services.
