HKRI Care & Share Volunteers Hold Lunch Gathering for Elders

The elderly population is an important constituent to the society and requires the community’s care and support. HKRI Care & Share, HKR International Limited’s (“HKRI”) corporate volunteer team, co-organised a lunch gathering with Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong on 11 November, inviting a total of 80 elders living in remote areas to a fun-filled dim sum lunch.

The elders actively participated in some group games prepared by the volunteers, followed by a hearty meal. Some of the talented elders wowed the participants by singing an excerpt from a famous Cantonese Opera, supported by sign language. Every elder left with a happy face and a gift pack sponsored by HKRI Care & Share.

Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong was established in 1901 to promote diversified services to support sustainable development of the society and build a harmonic community. With its extensive network, Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong provides children, teenagers and elderly service, and rehabilitation services, etc. throughout Hong Kong.
