Laughter and playful scream of your kids will be heard everywhere on Tai Pak Beach of Discovery Bay this Easter. The 5th Discovery Bay Tempo Kids Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach + Fun Fair will be presented by D'Deck, the largest oceanfront alfresco dining hotspot in Hong Kong, on 22 & 23 April 2011.

Colourful eggs will be hidden in the sand of Tai Pak Beach for kids to discover and they can win great prizes with the eggs they hunt. Co-organised by D'Deck and Baby-mo, this one of a kind event in town is a must for your families.

Hunt for 30,000 Colourful Easter Eggs on Tai Pak Beach (12pm to 5pm)
In this two-day event, more than 3,000 children divided into 3 age groups (3-4, 5-6 and 7-10) will dig out about 30,000 colourful Easter eggs on the beach. They are to hunt for eggs in Golden, Silver, Green, Red, Blue and Orange colours hidden among the tens of thousands of Easter eggs on the beach to win the prizes.

A total of 30,000 prizes worth over HK$500,000 will be available for grab. The Golden Egg hunter will receive the Tempo Kids Grand Prize worth HK$2,540 including Tempo Kids Tissue, Ocean Park SmartFun Annual Pass for 2 adults and 1 child, toy and book vouchers.  Other fabulous prizes for the Silver, Green, Red, Blue and Orange Egg hunters will also be given away, each worth from a few hundred to as much as HK$1,800. In addition, every egg hunted will entitle the kids to redeem a small gift. So the more eggs hunted, the more gifts will be taken home¹! All participating children will also receive a Welcome Goodies Bag and a Certificate of Excellence.

A HK$180 participation fee per child will be collected, part of which will go to Playright Children’s Play Association, a non-profit organisation that seeks to enrich the lives of children through quality play, as donation and program fee. Each participant will also be given a dining coupon² worth HK$100 which can be used or food and beverage consumption at designated D'Deck establishments⁴.

From now until 31 March 2011, D'Deck patrons can get an advance participation quota (up to a maximum of two participants) for the Tempo Kids Easter Egg Hunt with a spending of HK$400 or above (per transaction). They may secure the quota by registering their same-date receipt at the Free Ferry Service Counter (see below) and pay the HK$180 participation fee for each child. Online registration for the Tempo Kids Easter Egg Hunt will begin on 2pm, 1 April to 11 pm, 5 April 2011 on www.ddeck.com.hk. Number of participants is limited and entry ticket will be allocated by balloting if the number of registration exceeds capacity.

Fun Fair with 10 Game Zones at DB Plaza (11am to 6:30pm)
An Easter Fun Fair will be held at adjacent DB Plaza to add amusement and excitement to the Tempo Kids Easter Egg Hunt on the beach. A total of 10 game zones will be set up, where children can participate in a variety of innovative and interactive games. What’s more, the open-air market will provide your children with the choices of delicious snacks, fun entertainment and unique products to help “re-energise” you and your family!
