The 22nd Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Races & Carnival 2011

Spectacular dragon boats will roar into Tai Pak Bay again this June! The 22nd Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Races & Carnival will be back on 5 & 6 June 2011 in Discovery Bay, characterised by its uniquely international atmosphere.

A total of 52 teams representing Discovery Bay residents, business corporations and professional bodies will compete for various champions. They will also be automatically entered into the Most Outstanding Team Outfit Award competition to win more fabulous prizes.

Meanwhile, high-spirited cheerleading teams in their tailor-made costumes will also have a chance to compete for the Best Cheerleading Team Award. Each champion team in the Races and the best cheerleading team will respectively get 40 free tickets to Hong Kong Disneyland, sponsored by the theme park. What’s more, the incredible and colourful “Best Cheerleading Performance Session” by Hong Kong Disneyland is not to miss!

D'Deck, the largest oceanfront alfresco dining hotspot in Hong Kong with about 20 thematic restaurants serving international cuisines, offers the best vantage point to watch the dragon boat races and all the happenings in Discovery Bay! You can also have a sumptuous lunch there while chanting slogans to support the team of your choice!

Ashore, the Carnvial at DB Plaza will have over 60 booths selling home-made merchandises & snacks. Magnificent magic & acrobatic shows will also be in store to keep you and your family entertained during the intermissions.
