Autumn is approaching. It’s about time for keen hikers and photographers, whether amateur or professional, to start planning hiking trips to outlying islands in Hong Kong to behold the beauty of nature. Cheung Chau, Mui Wo and Lamma Island may be the first few hot spots to pop up in your mind, but wait till you have explored the transformed leisure spot – Discovery Bay. Surrounded by the beautiful South China Sea, Discovery Bay is located on the northeastern coast of Lantau Island. Its southern European ambience provides various delightful sceneries that are worth exploring.

Discovery Bay is surrounded by the 465-metre high Lo Fu Tau Mountain and two bays – Tai Pak and Yi Pak Bays. Such picturesque view is best to be enjoyed from the Lookout Point. Hikers can start off from Mui Wo. The lush woods, the ancient Trappist Haven Monastery and the majestic Silvermine Waterfalls en route are surely a treat for the eyes, while photographic enthusiasts can gear up and explore the multifaceted greeneries. The sunrise at Tai Pak Beach and the Disneyland fireworks display viewed from the beach are the most romantic moments to be captured.

The first 100 participants each week who give the correct answer to the name of the spot will receive a prize.

The first 100 persons who give the correct answer in each week will receive a prize. Each participant may participate only once a week but may participate every week for four weeks
