The Handmade Hong Kong’s Discovery Bay Sunday Market will take place monthly in 2015 from Jan - May and Aug - Dec, with a bonus market in November for early holiday shopping! With the support of D’Deck, the dining hotspot in Discovery Bay, the entire plaza will be delighted with spectacular craft, art, and DIY design from 11am until 6pm and our markets are always FREE TO ATTEND.

Showcasing over 140 of Hong Kong’s finest indie-craft talents, the upcoming market is the largest in Discovery Bay! Featuring mostly handmade and locally designed items, the popular open-air market ensures shoppers find one-of-a-kind items with the added bonus of purchasing directly from a local craftsperson.

The craft market showcases products of local and independent vendors. Featuring items such as handmade bags, jewelry, home accessories, fine art, stationery, paper craft and children’s accessories, the market is filled with unique and limited edition items found nowhere else!

Then, satisfy your taste buds after your shopping spree! Sit back, relax and enjoy the international menus served at about 20 enticing restaurants at D’Deck. Let the panoramic sea view and the fresh breeze soothe you and the mouthwatering food and drinks re-energise you! If you dine at one of the 14 participating restaurants1 (spending over HK$120) you get a FREE ferry ride home!2

Handmade Hong Kong is a gathering place for independent artists and crafters. With the belief in the value of handmade goods, the act of creating, and old-fashioned neighborliness, Handmade Hong Kong brings out community together to build, sustain and inspire each other. The belief in making time for creativity, conversation, silliness, and ethical consumerism is also promoted through the markets.

We are proud that the Discovery Bay Sunday Market showcases our local talent and that Hong Kong is part of the global handmade movement.
