Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach 2019

Jointly organised by Discovery Bay and Baby-mo Magazine, the one-of-a-kind event in town – Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach 2019 – will be back in April to celebrate the holiday with families and kids! 

On 19 & 20 April 2019, kids aged between 3 and 10 are welcome to hunt colourful Easter eggs hidden on Tai Pak Beach and win over 30,000 fabulous prizes. Adding fun to the day will be the open-air Fun Fair at DB Plaza and Tai Pak Beach. Visit Discovery Bay and fill your Easter holiday with laughter and nice surprises for your kids!

A. Children aged 3 to 10 to Hunt for Colourful Easter Eggs and win 30,000 fabulous prizes
The two-day Easter Egg Hunt will welcome participation from children, who will be divided into different age groups (aged 3-4, 5-6 and 7-10) 1 for the respective game sessions. Every egg hunted entitles the participant to an “Egg Redemption Prize”, with over 30,000 fabulous prizes in total. Egg Hunters who uncover the eight Grand Eggs hidden among the smaller ones will be awarded special prizes worth up to HK$9,000 in total! All participants will also receive a Welcome Goodies Bag and a Certificate of Excellence.

Known as “Eco-friendly Town”, Discovery Bay is always committed to the sustainable development of greener environment. This year, biodegradable Easter eggs made from natural materials are used for the game and will be recycled for reusing in the future in order to protect the environment. 

B. How to become Easter Egg Hunter
Discovery Bay welcomes kids to participate in the game and below are the two ways to be an Egg Hunter this year: 
1. Register online through Cityline on 7 March 10am onwards. The administration fee of each Egg Hunt Pass is HK$200 each (plus handling fee charged by Cityline).
2. Reserve “Easter Fun Package” 2 at Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong to receive an egg hunt pass per package booked.

C. Fun-filled carnival at DB Plaza and Tai Pak Beach
Looking for additional amusement and excitement for your kids? Over in DB Plaza and Tai Pak Beach, the open-air Fun Fair will be held to offer joyful activities for kids, featuring a series of interactive inflatable games and carnival game booths.

D. Transportation Tips
Due to the current enhancement works of the DB Bus Terminus, participants are recommended to travel to and from Discovery Bay by ferry on the event days.  For the convenience of participants, on the event days additional ferry services will be available from Tsuen Wan West Pier3 on top of the regular ferry services from Central Pier 3.

Travelling from downtown to Discovery Bay
The child participant bearing his/her egg hunt pass is entitled to travel by ferry from Central Pier 3 or Tsuen Wan West Pier to Discovery Bay (applicable to designated scheduled departures4 only) on the event days on a complimentary basis. A maximum of three accompanying guests can also purchase single-ride ferry boarding passes5 via Cityline at a special price of HK$23 per ferry boarding pass (original price at HK$46). The ferry services between Tsuen Wan West Pier and Discovery Bay on the event days are special services. Only ferry boarding passes purchased in advance via Cityline will be accepted, and no on-site ticket sales are available. Details on the advance online purchase of ferry boarding passes will be sent to participants who have successfully registered for egg hunt pass after the close of registration period.

Travelling from Discovery Bay to downtown 
Four coupons6 are enclosed in the Event Information Booklet distributed to each participant at the Admission Zone.  The bearer of each coupon is entitled to redeem a ferry ticket for the ride from Discovery Bay to Central Pier 3 or Tsuen Wan West Pier on the specified event day on a complimentary and first-come-first-served basis.

1Egg Hunt passes, issued as prizes for promotional activities of event sponsors, cannot be refunded nor exchanged for cash or any other prizes. For safety reasons, the age of the child participant must fall within the age group of the game session that he/she is registered for. In the event that the child participant does not fulfil the age requirements of the specific game session that he/she is registered for, the organiser reserves the right to refuse his/her admission, and any requests for refund or compensation will not be entertained under such circumstances.

3 Tsuen Wan West Pier is located within walking distance from exit D of Tsuen Wan West MTR station and takes the original site of the Park Island Ferry Pier.  The ferry services between Tsuen Wan West Pier and Discovery Bay are special services on event days only.  

4 Participants who have registered egg hunt passes via Cityline will receive an email with a coupon code for a special offer on single-ride ferry boarding passes departing from Central Pier 3 or Tsuen Wan West Pier to Discovery Bay on the event days.  The single-ride ferry boarding passes are available at HK$23 per ticket (original price HK$46), and each coupon code is entitled to purchase a maximum of 3 ferry boarding passes of the same departure time at the same pier. 7 Dine ‘N Ride is valid only for dinner consumption (6pm to 11:30pm) from Monday to Friday, and for lunch / dinner consumption (12 noon to 11:30pm) on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. Customers should redeem and use the offer within the day of consumption. The “Dine ‘N Ride Service Counter” is located at the glasshouse near Discovery Bay Pier.
The free ferry times are from 7:30pm to 12am on weekdays and from 1pm to 12am on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

9 Bus Discount Fare applies to all visitors coming to DB North Plaza. Tap your Octopus card at the “Bus Concessions Spot” next to Wellcome Supermarket or Uncle Russ Coffee, and use your Octopus card for any bus line departing from DB North Plaza within the next 45 minutes (except round trip to Hong Kong International Airport) to enjoy a discount fare at HK$6.8.
