This year, Discovery Bay has prepared an action-packed programme of thrilling activities for you to enjoy a Funtastic Summer from 27th July to 25th August. The Tai Pak Beach will be adorned with Multi-coloured Beach Huts against a bright blue sky, and offer an eye-popping, Instagram-worthy backdrop for gorgeous pictures. Joining you in the turquoise waters are inflatable flamingos of various sizes, and they will create a picturesque view together with the vibrant beach huts sitting on the spotless sand. Loan of floats and inflatables1 in adorable shapes and designs will be available for you to stay cool as a cucumber and take the best selfies. Taking summertime fun to new heights, create your very own ‘clouds’ at the weekend Wet N’ Wild Foam Party2, and enjoy some Colourful Cotton Candy1 and Yummy Popcorn1 to beat the heat with your loved ones!

Entertainment for kids such as Balloon Twisting1 and Body Painting1 will be available on weekends at DB North, where playful, stylish flamingo installations await. To refuel and recharge after a day of joy and laughter, indulge yourselves in a feast of international cuisines at the renowned oceanfront alfresco dining hotspot D'Deck or DB North, or enjoy a cosy stay at Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong. With so much to do and so many photography spots, Funtastic Summer at Discovery Bay is definitely a must-go event which is second to none.

D’Deck
1) Tai Pak Beach - Multi-coloured Beach Huts

This summer, eye-catching beach huts in a rainbow of colours can be found in Discovery Bay. Soak up the sun and take beautiful shots on Tai Pak Beach, accompanied by sparkling waters, pristine sand and white clouds floating in a big, blue sky. With the multi-coloured beach benches and beach umbrellas in front of the beach huts, there are plenty of open space and shade for visitors of all ages to recharge and get ready for a wide selection of fun-filled activities. 

2) Tai Pak Beach – Beach Carnival with Flamingo Floats
A flock of dazzling flamingos will join this amazing carnival at Tai Pak Beach on weekends, complementing the multi-coloured beach huts along the shore. Spend the day swimming and sunbathing on the inflatable flamingos, as well as capturing the best moments with the Funtastic Beach Floats1 in adorable designs as photo props. Loan of floats is available upon presentation of an original on-day dining receipt.

- With a minimum dine-in consumption of HK$180 at any D’Deck, DB Plaza, DB North Plaza or Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong restaurants and presentation of an original on-day receipt for validation at the Dine ‘N Ride Service Counter, patrons can redeem one Activity Pass for the loan of one Funtastic Beach Float at Tai Pak Beach.
- Registration and a deposit of HK$100 are required at the Dine ‘N Ride Service Counter.
- The deposit will be refunded in full upon the return of the beach float. 
- Beach floats may be borrowed for a period of two hours, counted from the time the float is lent to the patron.

3) Tai Pak Beach - Weekend Special: Wet N’ Wild Foam Party2 
Every weekend during the event period, the Wet N’ Wild Foam Party2 will be held at Tai Pak Beach. Create your very own ‘clouds’ in a sea of sudsy bubbles and have a blast!

Time: 2 pm - 6 pm
Height Requirements: A minimum height requirement of 90 cm for safety reasons
Note: The party pool will be closed for cleaning and dispensing of new foam on a regular basis. The process will take around 15 minutes. Please refer to the on-site notice for details.

4) Tai Pak Beach - Weekend Special: Colourful Cotton Candy1 and Yummy Popcorn1
In addition to the bubbly foam party, you can find enchanting food carts serving Colourful Cotton Candy and Yummy Popcorn in Discovery Bay on weekends to double the fun. Immerse in the magical world of sweet treats and feast your eyes on the sweeping ocean view.

5)  Tai Pak Beach - Children amusement park
there are also other playground amenities imported from the U.S. and Northern Europe, including the Rope Play Tower and Slide, Supernova Wheel, Hong Kong’s one and only children zip line course and Specialty Swings that can accommodate a few children at a time. These amusement activities offer plenty of thrills, challenging children’s coordination and balance to deliver a fun and rewarding summer experience!

DB North
1) Flamingos in Style Decorations 
Adding a refreshing touch to the summer vibes, specially designed flamingo installations are ready to greet guests in the heart of DB North Plaza in a playful and stylish manner. 1. Dine ‘N Ride 

With a dine-in consumption of every HK$120 at any of the designated D’Deck or DB North Plaza restaurants5, you can enjoy a Free Ride back to town on the same day6 by presenting an original on-day receipt for validation at the “Dine ‘N Ride Service Counter”. 

2. Bus Interchange Discount by DB North Plaza
DB North Plaza offers a Bus Interchange Discount7 when departing from DB North Plaza to Sunny Bay, Tung Chung or DB Bus Terminus.

E) About Discovery Bay
Discovery Bay is located in the northeast of Lantau Island. 2 Wet n’ Wild Foam Party at Tai Pak Beach requires an Activity Pass to access and is only for guests of 90cm or above in height due to safety reasons. Pregnant women and persons suffering from injuries, physical discomfort, heart conditions or cervical spine issues are advised against joining the party. By joining the activities, participants agree to comply with the safety rules and the crew's instructions.

3 Activity Pass redemption: With a minimum dine-in consumption of HK$180 at any D’Deck, DB Plaza, DB North Plaza or Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong restaurants and presentation of an original on-day receipt for validation, patrons can redeem one Activity Pass.
Each activity pass entitles the holder to a one-time access or redemption for each of the following: Wet N’ Wild Foam Party, loan of the Funtastic Beach Floats, Colourful Cotton Candy and Yummy Popcorn at Tai Pak Beach, as well as the Balloon Twisting and Body Painting at DB North Plaza on weekends.

Each receipt can only be used to redeem for a maximum of three Activity Passes.

4 Tickets for the “Horse-drawn Carriage Ride” are available at the Activity Centre at Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong. Each ride will last about 10 minutes and a maximum of 4 people are allowed in one carriage per ride. For details, please call (852) 2295 8140.

Customers should redeem and use the offer within the day of consumption. The “Dine ‘N Ride Service Counter” is located at the glasshouse near Discovery Bay Pier. The free ferry times are from 7:30 pm to 12 am on weekdays and from 1 pm to 12 am on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

To Tung Chung -the free bus ride times are from 7:30 pm to 1 am on weekdays and from 1 pm to 1 am on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

To Sunny Bay -the free bus ride times are from 7:30 pm to 12:20 am on weekdays and from 1 pm to 12:20 am on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

7 Bus Discount Fare applies to all visitors of DB North Plaza. Tap your Octopus card at the “Bus Fare Saving Station” next to Wellcome Supermarket or Uncle Russ Coffee, and use your Octopus card for any bus departing from DB North Plaza within the next 45 minutes (except to Hong Kong International Airport) to enjoy a discount fare at HK$6.8.
