HKR International Limited (“the Company”) announced today the annual results of the Company and its subsidiaries (“the Group”) for the financial year ended 31 March 2021 (“the Year”).

 

The Group’s revenue and underlying profits (excluding net unrealised gains in fair value of investment properties) for the Year reached HK$3,942.3 million and HK$868.6 million, compared to HK$4,696.5 million and HK$1,142.1 million in 2019/2020 respectively. With the exclusion of the one-off gain on disposal of the Group’s medical operations in the Philippines in the preceding year of HK$163.5 million, the Group’s underlying net profit would have decreased by 11.2% as compared to HK$978.6 million for the preceding year.

 

Profit attributable to shareholders for the Year was HK$897.3 million, compared with HK$1,624.6 million in 2019/2020. The basic earnings per share was HK60.4 cents, compared with HK109.4 cents in the previous year. As at 31 March 2021, the net asset value attributable to shareholders of the Company stood at HK$23,683.9 million (HK$15.9 per share), as compared with HK$22,067.4 million (HK$14.9 per share) in 2019/2020.

 

The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of HK5 cents per share for the Year. This, alongside the interim dividend of HK4 cents per share, makes up a total dividend of HK9 cents per share for the Year. In 2019/2020, a total dividend of HK12 cents per share was paid to shareholders.
