HKR International Presents “Movable Chair” Roving Exhibition to Showcase Young Designers’ Talent

Presented by HKR International (“HKRI”), the “PRI2DE Creative Camp” ˗ Movable Chair International Design Roving Exhibition was launched on 17 September in Shanghai and Hangzhou, where 10 sets of creative chairs designed by young design talents from around the world were displayed.

HKRI spares no effort in grooming our future leaders by encouraging them to showcase their creative and innovative flair. Established in 2019, “PRI2DE Creative Camp” aims at providing a platform for young designers and artists to demonstrate and practise their creativity.

As the third competition of the programme, HKRI joined hands with YoungBird Plan, a competition platform for global design talents, to celebrate the Group’s 45th anniversary by setting “45” as the competition theme. Integrating sustainability in topics such as urban “grey spaces”, environmental preservation, public advocacy, youth arts development and corporate social responsibility, we wish to instigate the possibility of injecting more diverse and energetic elements into public spaces by presenting innovative ways of “micro-urban renewal” through reflections and creativity of young designers.

The exhibitions, featuring the top 10 designs, are held in HKRI Taikoo Hui in Shanghai, and HKR International Centre in Hangzhou, from 17 to 30 September and will be held in Hong Kong afterwards.

The “Third PRI2DE Creative Camp” ˗ Movable Chair International Design Competition was launched in April this year, attracting close to 300 applications from 68 cities of 27 countries, including 175 colleges at home and abroad and 85 design institutions. The designs demonstrate young talents’ view to “micro-urban renewal” and cultivate an innovative atmosphere to promote positive development of our business in the year of HKRI’s 45th anniversary.
