To support healthy living, an inaugural “Discovery Bay Wellness Day” will be held on 14 September 2025 (Sunday) at DB Plaza and Tai Pak Beach, transforming this resort-style community into an oasis connecting health and art. Highlights of the day include the Discovery Bay Sunday Market, holistic wellness experiences, and the Discovery Bay Pet Bus Service—allowing both visitors and their furry companions to relax amidst natural beauty and rediscover balance and vitality in life.
Discovery Bay Sunday Market
The regular Sunday Market at DB Plaza features handcrafted artisan products, household items and accessories from local vendors. Strolling through the market with family and furry friends makes for an even more joyful experience!
In the Wellness Zone, a wide selection of handmade products related to health, fitness, and sustainability can be found. Delicate handcrafted jewellery and natural organic skincare items are also available, showcasing the creativity and vibrancy of Hong Kong’s small businesses.

Holistic Wellness Experiences
Presented by WAWALAND MEDIA and K.Tree (SEN) Sports And Arts Association, the event aims to enhance urban well-being through diverse wellness experiences. Interactive art installations created by children with special educational needs will be also showcased in the event, inviting visitors to experience the healing power of art and promoting community inclusivity.

This Wellness Day will also offer beach yoga classes led by experienced instructors Sandy To and Ivy Fung. Set against the stunning view of Tai Pak Beach, participants can enjoy the tranquility and harmony of nature. The classes will include parent-child yoga and pet yoga, offering relaxing and joyful experiences for adults, children and their furry companions.

Several local athletes will also participate, giving demonstrations, sharing their experience and health tips to encourage visitors to lead healthier lifestyles. Featured athletes include: Mr. Rafeek Kikabhoy (wingfoil surfer), Mr. Parco Shum (rope skipping champion), Ms. Lin Yik Hei (fencer), Mr. Chan Ming Tai (track and field athlete), Ms. Lui Yi Ting (skateboarder), and Ms. Yip Pui Yin (former Hong Kong badminton player).

Discovery Bay Pet Bus Service
Discovery Bay has been actively promoting pet-friendly living with pet-welcoming malls, restaurants and facilities. To celebrate the launch of this inaugural Discovery Bay Wellness Day, the popular Discovery Bay Pet Bus service will be running that day, connecting multiple locations in town. The routes will include Tseung Kwan O via Kai Tak, and Tuen Mun via Tsuen Wan West to Discovery Bay. The lawn outside DB Plaza will feature a pet-play zone, allowing pet owners and their furry friends to enjoy fun time together.
