As part of the Spring Campaign “Dare For More  Dare to Spring”, HKRI Taikoo Hui collaborated with artist Gu Tianyu to organise an exclusive Fabric Aroma Flower Workshop for VIPs on 1 May. The artist led the participants to resize and iron pre-starched and dyed fabrics into exquisite, long-lasting floral creations. Harnessing their liquid-absorbent properties, the fabrics released a refined and lingering fragrance once infused with perfume, much like real flowers. 

 

Participants creatively repurposed second-hand materials into unique artworks, embracing a zero-waste philosophy throughout the entire process. From selecting materials to completing their final products, they explored the potential of upcycling during this hands-on experience.
