Group Chief Projects Officer: Our Projects and Planning are Customer-oriented

In a recent interview with Sing Tao Daily, Martin Lee, Chief Projects Officer, shared insights into the Group’s architectural philosophy over the past four decades. As Hong Kong’s first eco-friendly town, Discovery Bay has evolved from a barren land into a low-density residential community, underscoring the Group’s founding principle of creating a people-first environment. He highlighted that every project is regarded as a “precious gem”, placing quality above cost considerations. From layout design to sustainable amenities, the Group remains committed to continuous refinement, ensuring the highest standards of excellence.

Martin also outlined the Group’s vision for future development. The ongoing “DB 2.0 Blueprint” encompassed pier renovation, clubhouse enhancements and the construction of a new multi-recreation complex. Additionally, the Group is set to launch residential Phase 19-22 by phases, covering an additional gross floor area of over 1.3 million sq. ft. and providing more than 1,400 housing units.

Beyond Hong Kong, the Group continues to uphold its high architectural standards in mainland China. Projects such as Oasis One in Hangzhou, Starlight One and Riviera One in Jiaxing were designed in line with the standards of Discovery Bay, offering spacious, low-density living with European-inspired aesthetics. The Group’s unwavering commitment to quality has earned recognition as a “conscientious developer” in the market.
