The Group is pleased to announce the recent unveiling of the upgraded Hotel Kanronomori, nestled in the serene Konbu Onsen area of Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. Hotel Kanronomori is the Group’s first self-operated hospitality property in Japan, marking its entry into HKRI’s hospitality portfolio, which includes the esteemed establishments under the two brands “Auberge Hospitality” and “The Sukhothai Hotels and Resorts”.  

 

HKRI acquired the hotel in 2023. Following a comprehensive facility upgrade, the hotel was unveiled on 30 June 2025, inviting guests to enjoy enhanced comfort and elevated hospitality.

 

Hotel Kanronomori first opened its door in 1985, and has long served as a distinguished gateway to Japan’s cherished onsen heritage. Conveniently situated near the Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area and renowned ski slopes, the hotel offers stunning views of Mount Yotei. Under the Group’s stewardship, the hotel has undergone enhancement focused on elevating guest experience, guided by extensive guest feedback gathered over the years. Guest rooms have been modernised, and safety measures have been upgraded for the expansive public and open-air baths.
