Discovery Bay’s inaugural Wellness Day will be held on 14 September (Sunday) at DB Plaza and Tai Pak Beach, and connecting this resort-style community with more health and art elements. It promises a serene escape from the hustle and bustle that improves holistic well-being for all.

Supported by Discovery Bay, WAWALAND MEDIA and K.Tree (SEN) Sports And Arts Association aims to encourage the public to relax amidst natural beauty and rediscover balance and vitality in life through wellness experiences. DB Sunday Market will include a Wellness Zone, featuring a variety of handcrafted goods, wellness products, sports gear, and eco-friendly products, including handcrafted accessories and organic skincare products from Hong Kong small businesses. The event will also showcase interactive art installations created by children with special educational needs, promoting community inclusivity through innovations.

On the same day, renowned local athletes will demonstrate their skills, share their athletic journey and health tips, encouraging a healthier lifestyle. Featured athletes include: Mr. Rafeek Kikabhoy (windsurfer), Mr. Parco Shum (rope skipping champion), Ms. Lin Yik Hei (fencer), Mr. Chan Ming Tai (track and field athlete), Ms. Lui Yi Ting (skateboarder), and Ms. Yip Pui Yin (badminton player).

Beach yoga classes led by experienced yoga instructors Ms. Sandy To and Ms. Ivy Fung will take place at Tai Pak Beach. With the gentle sea breeze as the backdrop, participants will find harmony in their body and mind. There will be special parent-child yoga and pet yoga sessions, offering relaxing and joyful experiences for adults, children, and their furry companions.

Additionally, the popular Discovery Bay Pet Bus service will return on the same date, connecting Tseung Kwan O via Kai Tak, and Tuen Mun via Tsuen Wan West to Discovery Bay, allowing pet owners to join the market with ease. As a pet-friendly mall, the lawn outside DB Plaza will feature a complimentary pet-play zone for pet owners and their furry friends to enjoy a fun weekend together.
