The Sukhothai Shanghai An Urban Oasis Soon to be Unveiled

HKR International Limited (“HKRI”) proudly announced the second hotel to be added into the prestigious Sukhothai Hotels & Resorts portfolio – The Sukhothai Shanghai.  This new urban oasis will make its debut in HKRI Taikoo Hui, located in Nanjing Road (West) CBD, in late 2017.   
 
The Sukhothai Shanghai, a contemporary luxury boutique hotel, is a new masterpiece by the world-renowned inter-disciplinary design practice, Neri & Hu. The hotel is defined by custom built details enriched by carefully handpicked materials which are visually compelling elements in its 168 uniquely designed guest rooms and 33 well-appointed luxurious suites, ranging from 44 to 172 square metres. 
 
With a passion for genuine hospitality, the new hotel will adhere to the hallmark Sukhothai service culture and philosophy, with an exquisite eye for details and unique facilities that aim to bring remarkable experience to the discerning business and leisure travellers in Shanghai, one of the greatest cosmopolitan cities in Asia. 
 
The Sukhothai Shanghai is an integral part of the HKRI Taikoo Hui mixed-use complex which is jointly developed by HKR International and Swire Properties. It is bounded on the north by Nanjing Road (West) and on the west by Shimen Yi Road. The Sukhothai Shanghai is annexed with a restored heritage building named as the “Cha House”, and is connected seamlessly to the coveted retail shops and two Grade A office towers in HKRI Taikoo Hui and with Shanghai’s extensive metro network. 
 
The Sukhothai Shanghai offers an inspirational culinary journey with five stunning dining and bar venues, featuring authentic and modern cuisines as well as artisanal beverages, which are about to become the city’s hottest dining destinations. It is proud to introduce La Scala, one of the best known Italian restaurants in Bangkok, which will feature an open theatre kitchen, serve a la minute prepared urban Italian cuisine using the freshest ingredients complemented by a wide range of Italian boutique wines.  
 
Dominating the second floor of The Sukhothai Shanghai are the meeting and banquet facilities that include a ballroom and 6 multi-purpose rooms, offering a total function space of 650 square metres.
